Porter County residents can recycle household batteries, but not curbside. We offer dozens of battery bucket locations throughout Porter County where area residents can recycle all household batteries. Batteries can be brought to any of our Household Hazardous Waste collection events, where we also accept automotive (lead-acid) batteries!
Accessibility across these locations may be limited to fluctuating pandemic hours of operation. Note that some public building drop off recycling sites may not be readily open to the general public due to enhanced health and safety protocols.
