Earth Day 2022 was an incredible success thanks in part to YOU! To each of our vendors, exhibitors, participants and guests who ventured out on April 30th we say THANK YOU! Thanks for making our event an incredible success! We could not have done it without you.
Annually Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd across the nation. This date marks the birth of the modern environmental movement in the United States. Today, Earth Day is widely recognized as the largest secular environmental observance in the world, marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to change human behavior and create global, national and local policy changes.
Locally the fight for a clean environment continues with increasing urgency, as the ravages of climate change become more and more apparent every day. The District remains fully committed in celebrating and recognizing Mother Earth in all her infinite glory on this National Day.
