Due to public health concerns regarding Covid-19, the Porter County Recycling and Waste Reduction district has cancelled our Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration, scheduled for April 18th at the Porter County Expo Center. The health and safety of our guests, visitors, volunteers, and vendors is our highest priority. Please follow the guidelines announced by the CDC and local public health agencies regarding how individuals and families can protect themselves and prevent the spread of the virus.
It is with a heavy heart that we’ve come to this decision. 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day. We’re continually inspired and amazed by the capacity for everyday people to make a difference in their world through events and programs like Earth Day. We’d like to express our sincerest gratitude to the volunteers, staff, and vendors who have worked with us to plan this year’s celebration, and we look forward to hosting our most spectacular event yet next year. Our next Earth Day is officially rescheduled for April 17th, 2021.
We invite all of 2020’s vendors and performers to stay tuned for forthcoming information about how to register for next year's celebration. Refunds for vendors and exhibitors will be processed shortly. Questions and concerns can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
