All cities and towns in Porter County, excluding Dune Acres, provide curbside collection for their residents.
However, apartments, condos and most other multifamily dwellings in Porter County must contract with a waste hauler for services.
The residents of unincorporated Porter County as well as Dune Acres must individually contract with private waste haulers for curbside service.

While the District does not provide curbside service, we do provide and service six drop-off locations for residents and businesses that are unable to obtain curbside recycling or have more materials than their totes can contain.
Whether you have curbside recycling collection from your municipality, contract with a waste hauler, or use our drop-off locations, here are the guidelines to recycling for all Porter County residents.
Find out specific curbside collection information by contacting your municipality.
