Shredded paper is not recyclable curbside or in the district's drop off containers. Shredded paper falls through the conveyors at the sorting facility, ends up contaminating recyclables or becomes trash and is sent to the landfill. If you want to be sure your documents are recycled, we recommend taking your documents to Opportunity Enterprises to be shredded. Opportunity Enterprises deals with a company that recycles the shredded pieces they collect. They will also accept your already shredded documents.
